THE PIT GOLF LINKS ABERDEEN, NC Carved out of a 230-acre sand quarry, The Pit has received rave reviews since opening in 1985. An original Dan Maples design, it is currently ranked as one of the Top 50 courses in America open to the public, and in the Top 10 in North Carolina by both Golf Digest and Golfweek. It has been said "there is not another course like it in the world." The front nine displays characteristics found in typical Carolina courses with dense tree-lined fairways, rolling terrain, and no water in play. The back nine presents a diverse challenge as more of the quarry features are apparent. The Pit assures an unforgettable day of golf!
